About Matthew
Matthew trained at Imperial College London and qualified in 2007. He completed a BSc in Healthcare and Management at the Imperial Business School. During his training he worked in both London and Sydney Australia.
He has completed a Masters in Surgical Education at Imperial in 2012. Following this, he took time out of training to work in Medicine at St George’s Hospital London and obtained the MRCP (UK) in 2013. This has given him the unique experience to develop specialist expertise in obstetric medicine. Furthermore, Matthew gained his MD at the University of London in 2016 following research at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and Royal Brompton Hospitals into maternal cardiac disease and pregnancy. He has published widely and talks internationally on this area.
Matthew is part of the maternal medicine team at St George's and leads the diabetes service as well as the Obstetric HDU. He is a member of the British Maternal and Fetal Medicine Society (BMFMS), UK Maternal Cardiac Society and the MacDonald Obstetric Medicine Society.
Matthew lives in West London and is married with two children.
